Day 2. They set off from Bolougne this morning with a host of other highly decorated cars.we hope to post some photo's soon. 96 cars parked in a car park with various themes, from hurse, to police car, to cars with several heads!!![Phils words not mine]
Task for today was to enter a cave and find a champain bottle, retrieve the name from it and take it to the check point.
Not sure if they managed it but do know they are just getting to Bescannon ready for another booze filled evening.
It must be so hard for them away from home!
Those of you who know phil won't be surprised that he entered a resturant last night, looked at the price of beer [8 euro's a beer] and legged it to the nearest supermarket to buy a budget pack.
Kids are missing you guys.
Me and Deb havinga ball!!!!!

Well we've done 750 miles so far, now in SE France foot hills of the Alps and lake Geneve, managed to get 110mph out of the astra, thought she was going to blow up so we had to stop racing Knightrider. 26 deg and glorious sunshine, tomorrow we race around lake Geneve and then to Turin looking for gold, hope the italian mafia are ready for us.

Where the hell are you guys now?
I can't keep up.
Hope the weather is better there than at home. You may need to bring the ferry home with you.

Well just heard from the boys. They have arrived safely in Torino and have checked into their hotel. [only a little perturbed by the room with a double bed] I think there have been some arguments over who was sleeping which side so they have traded room for one with twin beds!!
Apparently very tired after full day driving over Alps and over St Bernard Pass. Apparently we will have full video footage when they get back. Phil amazed that he actually saw a woman walking three St Bernards along the pass!

They have completed their challenge dressed as the Mafia and are now looking forard to a good nights sleep.
Off to Nice tommorrow for the last leg.

We all love you and hope to see you soon boys.

Not sure yet what challenge the boys are doing today but they are on the last leg of the trip. travelling from Torina to NICE today through Mont Blanc [I think] they were debating this morning whether to go via the scenic route or the tunnel.

Will post again later to let you know how they got on.

Guess what? They took the scenic route!!!!!!
They are apparently curently negotiating a narrow moon like road, trying hard to find their way without damaging the car too much! I wounder why the other rally teams all decided to go through the tunnel???????

But it is I understand from Phil a lovely day with lots to see. so well worth the extra time and mileage that they have used. fingers crossed thay are not too long getting to the last check point.

Wel tired and hungry thay have just arived in NICE. They managed to complete the days challenge and are now attending the presentation evening.

The only casualty appears to be Ian's cap which some how got left at the Hotel in Torino. Fingers crossed they can collect it on the way back tommorrow. big day tommorrow they have to get from NICE to Bolougne in one day.
Good luck

Spoke to the Lads this morning. they were boiling the kettle in services some where between Nice and Boulogne. They are hoping to arrive in Boulogne about 8pm tonight with a lot of luck!

They seemed in good spirits proud to have recieved their medal last night.

So all those people who sponsored them get ready to get your cash out!! [unless you paid in advance of course.]

In record speed they have arrived in Bolougne. Even found time for a quick booze run.
They are off for something to eat now before a good nights sleep.
Fingers crossed they will be on the ferry in the morning and home tommorrow night.
